About Copper Bee

Hi! I’m Sarah, founder of Copper Bee Café—an espresso catering based in Salt Lake City, bringing handcrafted drinks and warm vibes to events of all kinds.

Before I became a teacher, I worked at a cozy little coffee shop and completely fell in love—with the rhythm of the mornings, the conversations across the counter, and of course, the espresso. Even as I moved into the classroom, I kept dreaming of one day returning to that world—the one where coffee meets community in the best way.

That dream started coming to life thanks to my brother, who opened Copper Gila Café in Phoenix, Arizona. His passion reignited mine, and soon, Copper Bee was born—a tribute to creativity, connection, and the caffeinated joy that inspired it all.

Today, I get to blend my teaching roots (hello, organized chaos!) with my love of coffee, creating fun and memorable espresso bar experiences at weddings, corporate events, businesses, private parties, and beyond. When I’m not behind the bar, you’ll probably find me hiking the trails & climbing the crags around Salt Lake, watching my boys at the skate park, or working on my latte art swirl (still chasing that perfect heart!).

We keep it fresh and local by serving up local beans provided by Salt Lake Roasters. They've been roasting since 1981!

We use chai that's locally brewed in small batches here in Salt Lake City by Mountain High Chai!
